ISSUE OF THE DAY Berisha cannot answer the Civil World with “Yes” Listening to the wise teacher is not a policy of subservience and servility Lately, the opposition has raised a new accusation against the government: THE YES POLICY! In a nutshell, in the long articles written by the opposition’s ideologues, today’s Albanian state is accused of pursuing a servile, subservient policy toward Western countries and organisations. What is interesting is that this accusation comes from a party whose leaders display the American flag at every press conference and which, throughout its time in power, preached that the Socialists were failures because neither the United States nor Europe supported them! But the core of this ridiculous accusation lies elsewhere, and it stems from Berisha’s Chinese-style mould: abandoned by the Western world because of his follies, he thinks that by accusing the Socialist Party in this way, he will demonstrate to them that he is their true friend and that they should therefore support him! Berisha thinks the West and the United States cannot read between the lines, and that is his first misfortune. His second misfortune is that he believes the civilised world forgets his deeds: his direct accusation in Parliament in 1997 that the United States organised the revolts in the south of the country, and his more recent accusations against the OSCE and NATO, whose spokespeople he described as a destructive rather than a constructive organisation! Having no ideas for its own future or that of this country, and sensing its base steadily shrinking, the Democratic Party has begun throwing up smokescreens with the idea: lie, lie, and something will stick! But it does not realise that most Albanians, wavering between the government and the opposition, are siding with the government simply because it maintains good relations with the United States and the West. If the present-day state is achieving success, it is because of the attention it is paying to Western advice; subservience and servility, but a desire to move forward. Berisha could cry because he cannot answer the Civil World with YES. He simply cannot answer it, because it is no longer asking him! Perhaps that is why our patient has started talking to himself, like Gazidedja and Blerimi of the DP in Parliament at the beginning of 1997...

- The tunnel has three entrances, two inside the building and one on the mountainside. The thief came in through here; they went through the tunnel looking for the first ventilation opening. They searched for it because a 70 cm concrete wall divided the tunnel into sections. They entered there and proceeded along the tunnel to the second ventilation opening. It was in the space of a room located in a recess where the treasure was kept. They entered the room through the ventilation opening, where they found a plywood door, which they broke, allowing them to enter the recess containing the treasure.
