CIA: An attack would be carried out on the Embassy

HERE IS WHY MAKS ÇIKU WAS DETAINED UNEXPECTABLY ON SATURDAY The American embassy in Tirana was a hot security point. While its staff continues to live under a strict security regime, unprecedented actions undertaken by the American government show that the suspicions are strong. A team from the security organization of Albanian-American professional agents appears for the second time, standing guard over the entire perimeter of the building. Highly secret orders concerning movements and not only the staff of the American embassy. “This is the continuation of a historical institutional policy regarding what new attack could be carried out on the American embassy and what situation might arise again,” wrote Saturday’s issue of the 6th on page 6 Foreigners out to the gate in the dark On pages 12-13

Vlora, Majko’s passport to Italy

He meets the billionaire of the PS Vlora, Majko’s passport to Italy Before the visit to Rome, the Prime Minister lands in Sazan The Albanian Prime Minister, with a small entourage, is descending somewhere onto a pier. To a police boat. In fact, he has just crossed the Strait of Otranto and is also escorted by a Greek ship. He then lands on the island of Sazan. Albania says it has prepared forces. It seems that his trip is safe. He then goes up to the city of Vlora, Majko’s new passport to Italy. In a meeting with representatives of the community, he appears optimistic. Even the Prime Minister’s proposal for a joint protest in Brindisi-Majko, at the end of the day, remains just a slogan. On page 6

100 days of Majko

Andi Bejtja Today marks 100 days since the 31-year-old Pandeli Majko sat down in the prime minister’s chair. Some polls from various media groups, from party institutions and not only, show that the percentage of positive opinions is still on the rise. The greatest achievement, in my view and in the view of all media that look at it critically, has been reached by his government through the way it communicates with the public; but perhaps this has more to do with the character of the public, in my opinion, a large one that after last spring has entered government. Pandeli Majko found the government in its worst days and is rebuilding it little by little at least institutionally, as an alternative in the face of an equally unidentified future. The first regular press conference in the prime minister’s office in October in Tirana, at least officially, can be called a success of his governance. In many other respects this government is under the pressure of the situation and not only of the people, but also of reforms. That is why if, from any perspective, the latest polls are in his favor, they are still a credit card he receives only in installments. Majko seems to have understood this reality well, although in Kosovo and in relations with neighboring countries he has shown a different face from his predecessor’s government. At least in terms of publicity. The Albanian opposition has also often attacked him in strong terms, but the public, regardless of the way it has reacted, has still given him time. In any case, the first days of his government have shown one thing: the new Prime Minister is in the public eye. CONTINUES ON PAGE 2
